Salt Spring Dollars are a legal, local currency issued by the Salt Spring Island Monetary Foundation. The SS IMF is a registered non-profit organization whose sole mission is to produce Salt Spring Dollars, an alternative currency with nearly universal acceptance at the financial institutions and businesses on our island of 10,000 residents.
